HUBBLE LOOKS FOR “BIG BANG”

U.S. astronomers using the Hubble space telescope recently claimed to have looked at a portion of the universe that “emerged as early as 400 million years after the Big Bang.”

The Big Bang is the current evolutionary theory on the origin of the universe, that it began with a massive explosion about 10-20 billion years ago. According to Big Bang, all of the matter and energy of the universe was compressed into a cosmic egg and for some reason it exploded. The gases that were formed from the explosion expanded in all directions and formed themselves into stars and these into galaxies. “No satisfactory theory exists to explain any of these events, but cosmologists remained firm in their conviction that all of these marvelous events would eventually yield to credible explanations” (Dr. Duane Gish, The Big Bang Theory Collapses, http://www.icr.org/pubs/imp/imp-216.htm).

It is all nonsense, of course. Explosions don’t produce life and order; they produce chaos and destruction, and the bigger they are the most chaos and destruction! Further, no one has explained how the materials and processes required for such an incredible explosion came to exist in the first place. Before the Big Bang was there a Medium Bang, and before that a Little Bang?

No one can scientifically prove or disprove biblical creation, but everything the Bible says about the origin of life fits perfectly with observable facts. The process of creation was completed about 6,000 years ago, but the effects of creation can be witnessed all around us today.

For example, the Bible says God created all living things to reproduce “after his kind” (Gen. 1:11, 12, 21, 24, 25). That and nothing else is what we see in the plant and animal kingdoms. Animals can reproduce within certain categories, such as various breeds of dogs with other breeds, but there are no natural bridges between dogs and cats, rats and turtles, deer and giraffes.

Evolutionists cannot explain the mechanism of how even the most basic facts of life could have come into existence from nothing without a Creator, let alone something like THE ORIGIN OF THE SEXES. Let’s assume for a moment that by some mysterious, unknown evolutionary process one living creature could have evolved at a certain point in time, and let’s even assume that his necessary environment had evolved at that same point in time and even that this creature could eat and process food and perform other functions of life. None of that is enough; the creature has to reproduce! That means that TWO perfectly-matched creatures of opposite sex had to have evolved at precisely the same time. A creature of one sex is of no benefit whatsoever for reproduction!

Or consider THE MYSTERY OF FLIGHT. Consider this statement by Dr. Duane Gish:

“As a matter of fact, the ability to fly supposedly evolved four times independently: in the birds, the flying reptiles (pterosaurs) now extinct, the insects, and in mammals (the bat). In none of these cases are there fossil transitional forms showing the ability to fly as evolving. ... We thus have a remarkable situation. Four times a marvelous transformation has taken place: terrestrial animals have evolved the power of flight. Each such transformation required millions of years and involved thousands of transitional forms. Yet none of these transitional forms can be found in the fossil record! Could it be that these transitional forms are not found simply because they never existed? Such evidence can be much more easily correlated within a creationist framework than within an evolutionary framework” (Duane Gish, Creation - Evolution, Creation Research Institute).

Or consider THE HUMAN BRAIN. It weights only three pounds yet handles the information of 1,000 Cray-2 supercomputers (Dr. Don DeYoung and Dr. Richard Bliss, Thinking about the Brain, 1990). (Of course the truth is that the brain is far more complicated than any number of supercomputers.) The number of neurological interconnections in the brain is estimated at 100 trillion, which is equivalent to all the leaves on all the trees of a forest covering half of the United States. The potential brain capacity has been estimated as “at least equivalent to that of 25 million volumes, a 500-mile bookshelf.” Drs. DeYoung and Bliss conclude: “The beautiful complexity of our brain contrasts sharply with all simplistic, secular attempts to explain it away. Our brain remains a frontier of science; we actually know very little about it, but what is known is overwhelming. In addition, every single neuronal cell within the brain contains a trillion atoms. This is like a microscopic universe within each cell, complete with order, purpose, and interdependence of components. ... The brain truly provides an ultimate design challenge for evolution”

Knowing the incredible complexity and interrelatedness of life and the necessity that all of the processes of life and reproduction be perfect and mature (or they would not work), there is no possibility that life as we know it could have evolved.

I, for one, find it very easy to believe in the God who has revealed Himself in the Bible. The Psalmist says it is the fool that “hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalm 14:1).
